FAQ - Group Fitness classes

What do I wear to classes?

Wear something you feel comfortable moving around in. e.g.. Leggings and a singlet. You should wear runners and bring a hand towel and bottle of water. In Pole classes and Pilates no footware is worn.

Do I need to book for classes?

The only classes that require bookings are Polefit, Pole Strength Bootcamp & Pilates floor and Reformer classes as these all run in 10 weeks blocks (excluding pole strength boot camp as this runs on a weekly basis) and are limited to 10 places only. Bookings can be made on 9311 8271.

Do I need to be a member of your gym to attend your classes?

Polefit, Pilates and Pilates reformer run in 10 Week Course blocks and do require you to either be a member or be paid for upfront. We only offer casual Pilates & Pole Fit classes outside of our 10 week terms.

All other classes you may attend casually and do not need to be a member however if you are intending to do more than 2 classes a week, our membership options are a far cheaper option. Feel free to chat to our staff today to see what our membership options are.

Can I attend Pilates or Pole Dancing casually?

These classes run as a 10 Week course so unfortunately during our terms we do not offer casual attendance. Pilates classes are limited to a maximum of 10-12 people so those attending can get a more personalised experience, as our instructors can move around the room and ensure core activation and technique is correct.

Polefit classes are limited to 10 people per class and a choreographed routine is learnt throughout the course. Both these classes build up over the weeks as you get stronger, ensuring that you are getting the most out of your class.

How much do classes cost?

Classes that run casually range from $10 - $20 per session depending on the class length & type. Please phone our office on 9311 8271 for further information.

What is the difference between Zumba Fitness & Zumba Toning?

Both Zumba Fitness & Zumba Toning classes are easy to follow moves designed for all fitness levels. However in Zumba Toning classes, lightly weighted toning sticks (like maracas) are used to help build strength & tone your muscles. Zumba Fitness classes run for 1hr & Zumba Toning classes run for 45mins.

What is the difference between Pilates floor and Reformer classes?

Both classes are designed to improve core strength & posture, stretch & strengthen the body however in Pilates Reformer classes, the exercises are done on a reformer machine (also known as a Pilates bed) which provides resistance through springs that can be adjusted to give you a more assisted, strength building work out. The Reformer classes also only have a maximum of 4 people so are more tailored for the individual and suited to those particularly you have very sore backs. The floor classes have a maximum of 10-12 people and are also suitable for those with injuries. We have the ability through both classes to adjust our exercises to suit individual needs.

What is the difference between Pole Fit & Pole Boot Camp classes?

Polefit classes are designed to be a fun workout where spins, tricks and a choreographed dance routine is learnt over a period of 10 Weeks. These classes are booked and paid for upfront or you need to be a member on direct debit to attend.

Pole Bootcamp Classes are a fun and fast 30min high intensity strength workout designed to build strength and tone your body, using the poles as resistance equipment. These classes are especially helpful for those already taking part in our Polefit course as they focus on those areas used commanly in classes, upper body and abdominal areas. This class is run on a casual basis but does require booking as places are limited to 10.

Do I need to be fit to attend your classes?

Our classes are suitable for any fitness level and age. Classes that run in 10 Week course blocks have different levels so we can find the right level for you to start with.
