What is Holistic Counselling?

  

Holistic counselling focuses on exploring the cause of your stress or depression by uncovering the unconscious tendencies, needs, beliefs and fears that have been accumulating in your psyche since you were born and are now negatively impacting on your life. The therapies used to access your unconscious and release the hold it has on your life include:-

What is your unconscious?

This is the part of your mind that holds onto remnants of unpleasant experiences or painful lessons that have occurred during your lifetime along with influences from your culture and our society. It also holds your greatest potential and the gateway to your spiritual realm.  

Every time you experience an emotion, intuition or dream and when you use your imagination and creativity, your unconscious mind is attempting to relay a life-enhancing message to you. Therefore, even when the emotion is painful, there is a meaning to be gleaned and it can be an excellent window of opportunity for insight and growth.  

When you don’t have the opportunity to learn how to “translate” these subtle messages, the issues tend to gather momentum until even a minor trigger can set off an unconscious “explosion” of emotion which can manifests as an angry outburst, uncontrollable tears, irrational behaviour or a serious health issue.
